Weekday Potluck: Delicious Kitchen by Eat Well

My favorite dish at Delicious Kitchen by Eat Well is this Eggplant dish. It is called Eggplant with Minced Pork and Salted Fish Hotpot.

I have eaten here twice at Robinsons Galleria branch and I have ordered this dish both times.
It is just perfect! I try to duplicate this dish at home but I dont think I can, he he!

Weekday Potluck: Hyphys

Two office mates are September birthday celebrants and they bought vouchers from Cash Casp Pinoy to treat us out yesterday. This is my second time to eat at Hyphys and I ordered the same thing that I had the last time: Bangus Steak. It was good the first time I had it and it was good this time too!

We all had a bite of each other's order so I didnt miss anything from their menu but this one is really my favorite. Thanks for the treat, Mayet and May! Till the next birthday, or the next groupon voucher, he he!

Weekday Potluck: Mang Inasal

Mang Inasal has become some sort of comfort food for me, not only because of its unlimited rice offering, he he he, but because their chicken barbecue is really delicious. We ate Mang Inasal when we were in Boracay as a family last July 2010, and then in Cebu last August 2011. And when I went with friends to Boracay last August, we ate there too! Just look at this yummy barbecue and tell me you can resist it!

And an added bonus is this Pinoy Sorbetes for only P25! Now, that is value for money.

Bonding Moment with My Daughter

Yesterday, my daughter and I went to Divisoria to buy her rubber shoes and other stuff and it was great time for the two of us to bond. Though it was not yet Divisoria season, there were already many people doing their shopping and the street was already crowded with vendors selling their wares. Add the construction craze of high rise and buildings that I think are targeting a December opening, Divisoria looks like a jungle! Good thing my daughter is a trooper, and a jolly one at that. She never complained once about walking back and forth inside Tutuban mall because Mommy was lost nor about the heat and the people outside at the street. And she looks so happy just being with me eating hamburger, french fires and a double sundae cone from McDonalds! I was so happy because it was obvious to me that my daughter was happy to be with me, not just because I was buying her stuff, but because we were together! It doesn't matter that we were in crowded Divisoria or a cramped jeep, but my jolly daughter never lost her smile yesterday. She had Mommy all for herself yesterday and she was happy. And that made me very, very happy too!

Shamcey Supsup is Miss Universe to Me!

I have to agree with siyetehan, Shamcey Supsup wins big time! Even though she only won Third Runner Up in the Miss Universe 2011 Pageant, she has all of those things to look forward to. She will have the guestings, the product endorsements, the movies and the hosting offers and she deserve all of them too. I just wish she will be wiser in her choice and not sell herslef short for just fame. In my book, she should have won the Miss Universe Crown. She answered the question "Will you change your religion for the man you love"with the conviction borne from being a Catholic, that which is to love God above all. Her answer was surely not made to please everybody, but that was her truth and that was how she felt and I admire her for that. Its obvious that her answer was the wrng answer to the judges or she would have nailed that crown, but again for me, she is the Miss Universe!

Best Pig Ever!

Cebu is said to be the Lechon capital of the Philippines and during our family visit last month, we just had to try it! We had lunch at CNT Lechon and for dinner, we went to Zubuchon! And oh boy, was Anthony Bourdain tight when he said that it was the Best Pig Ever!

Just look at that crispy skin! Its a heart-attack waiting to happen too!

Yummy! we also tried their Mongo Lechon and Dinuguan and I can only say that they were the best. Next time you are in Cebu, try and eat here too.

Mellow Yellow Monday: Its Boracay, Baby!

Boracay was ranked as one of the best beaches in the whole world and there are lots of activities to do here even if you come and visit during the rainy season!

We were there last August 14 for a side trip to a wedding we will attend in Aklan, and one day is definitely not enough to do all those things in Boracay. And even after four visits, I would still want to come back! Because: Its Boracay, Baby!

May mga bagay na kahit gustong-gusto mong gawin, hindi mo magawa dahil sa kakulangan ng pera o panahon. Ganyan ang nangyari sa akin ng magpunta kami ng Cebu. Gusto ko sanang maranasan ang maglakad sa gilid ng gusaling aming tinatanaw, yung Crown Regency at maranasan ang Skywalk Adventure pero dahil ang dami namin, hindi na kaya ng budget. Naisip ko, sapat na natanaw ko ang liwanag ng magandang gusali kahit hindi ko mismo naranasan ang adventure na iyon, ang mahalaga, naisama ko ang aking buong pamilya sa isang mas magandang biyahe sa Cebu! Abot tanaw ko naman ang liwanag!

Naisip ko pa, tsaka ko na ito gagawin, para may dahilan pa ako para balikan ang Cebu City!
